Week Five Recap: Vikes Outplay Lions 26-17
Hey guys and gals. Sorry for the lack of posts. I was out of town this weekend and believe it or not, I didn’t even get to see the game until last night (man, I love Tivo). Now I almost wish that I didn’t watch the game at all.
By now, you all know that the Lions dropped the ball (literally) in Minnesota and lost to the incredibly average Vikings by the score of 17-26. I could go over all of the missed opportunities, the mindless penalties and the horrible collapse in the fourth quarter. But I am not really sure if that helps at this point. The truth of the matter is that this team is quite possibly the worst in the league right now and it needs to improve performance at every single position. By the way, ex-Lion runningback Artose Pinner had thirteen yards rushing on 3 carries for the Vikes. The Lions only had sixteen yards rushing all day. Good for Artose, he deserves it after getting cut by the Lions.
I’m too frustrated to even post right now about where this team is headed. So I will take some time and collect my thoughts on it. I do know that there has to be some accountability here, and the team can’t blame it all on Charles Rogers and Mike Williams. Charles Rogers isn’t on the team anymore, and Mike Williams doesn’t play. At some point this organization needs to accept some blame and stop pointing fingers.
Anyway, I’m interested in your thoughts. Let me know what you thought of the game, the team as it stands right now and how the Lions can improve. I’ll try to relax, maybe have a beer and post my thoughts soon.
